Ballet Brazos Lead Dancer
Sophia Gordon
Sophia’s love for dance first began at the age of three at Dream Dancers Studios in Caldwell, TX under the direction of Colleen Stapp and Brittany Schubert. She is currently in her fifth year dancing with The Ballet Academy at Suzanne’s School of Dance where she is a member of the performance company, Encore. She has attended summer intensives at Ballet Austin, Feijoo Ballet School, and Vitacca Vocational School of Dance. This is Sophia’s eighth year dancing with Ballet Brazos in The Nutcracker. She has previously performed in the roles of Mouse, Angel, Soldier, Polichinelle, Snow, and Flower.
Sophia is honored and excited to perform her dream role of Clara this year. She would like to thank her instructors, Aya Reid, John Henry Reid, and Christi Downey Varvel for helping her grow as a dancer and nurturing her love of ballet.
