“There has never been a moment more magical than this.”

Performing in The Nutcracker is a rite of passage for ballet dancers everywhere. Many a ballet career has been launched as a tiny mouse scampers on stage past a growing Christmas tree and thinks, "This is what I want to do! There has never been a moment more magical than this!" - Katy Ellison, Artistic Advisor

At Ballet Brazos, we seek to share our love of classical ballet with the next generation of dancers and patrons by offering a unique, collaborative experience.

Our annual production of The Nutcracker features performers from across the Brazos Valley and guest professional ballet dancers. Behind the scenes, ballet instructors representing many area schools work with the dancers to rehearse and perfect choreography, while dedicated volunteers design and construct beautiful costumes, sets, and scenery.

Ballet Brazos collaborates throughout the year with area agencies and school districts as part of our outreach programs to bring fine arts experiences and ballet performances to more children.
