Senior Spotlights

Our graduating seniors are an important and special part of Ballet Brazos. Some have literally grown up with us, and they all hold a special place in our hearts.

These dancers spend many years studying ballet and honing their talent. They are an invaluable part of Ballet Brazos on stage with their gorgeous dancing and embodiment of their roles. They are also leaders and mentors for our younger dancers in the rehearsals and in the wings. And, they inspire a love of ballet in our littlest audience members at our community outreach events.

Join us in celebrating our Season 11 graduating Seniors!

Ballet Brazos Dancer for 6 Years

ELIZABETH MORTON

What were your favorite roles and why?

I loved getting to be in Snow two years in a row - I'd been hoping to be cast in it someday ever since I first auditioned for Nutcracker in 5th grade. It's so technically challenging, but the music, costumes, and choreography together make it a beautiful scene to watch. It feels magical to perform in Snow!

What are your favorite Ballet Brazos memories?

Being backstage before opening night is one of my favorite parts of Nutcracker. It's so fun and Christmassy, and everyone is excited to perform.

What advice would you give your fellow dancers?

Be supportive and uplifting towards other dancers! A smile or word of encouragement can go a long way.
