Megan Becker

Megan Becker began her early dance training in Orange County, California, at Ballet Conservatory of Saddleback Valley. She spent her summers studying at The School of American Ballet, where she was selected to take part in the New York Choreographic Institute showcase, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miami City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Ballet Austin. When Megan was 15, she moved to New York City to train at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet. In 2012, she chose to continue her training at Pacific Northwest Ballet. During her time at PNB she received the opportunity to perform in Giselle, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and George Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream as well as student showcases of Sylvia and George Balanchine’s Ballet Imperial. In the fall of 2014, she joined Nevada Ballet Theatre where she performed in The Nutcracker, Giselle, and George Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Director’s Choice, and collaborated with Cirque du Soleil performing at the Mystere Theater. In 2015, Megan accepted an offer with Avant Chamber Ballet and moved to Dallas, TX. While at Avant, Megan had the joy of performing in George Balanchine’s Raymonda Variations, Concerto Barocco, and Walpurgisnacht, several Classic Story Ballets such as The Nutcracker, A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland, The Sleeping Beauty, Raymonda, Harlequinade, and The Little Match Girl Passion, as well as countless works created specifically for her by local and world renowned choreographers. Megan moved to Bryan in January 2021 when her husband accepted a job with TAMUS. She loves teaching and is very excited to be preparing dancers for their roles.
