Ballet Brazos Lead Dancer

Kara started dancing at the age of 3, after watching her older sister for a year. Over the years she has taken a multitude of genres including hip hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and ballet. Ballet has remained her true love.

She trains at The Ballet Academy at Suzanne's School of Dance during the schoolyear. Over the summer she has attended summer intensive programs with the Houston Ballet since 2018 as well as Vitacca Vocational School 2021 and 2022 and the American Ballet Theatre in 2021.

She started dancing with Ballet Brazos at the age of 4, when she performed as a Little Sister in the 2013 Nutcracker. She has since performed as Little Sister, Magic Mouse, Cherub, Dream Angel, Battle Mouse, Baker, Party Girl, Polichinelle, Snowflake, Flower and Marzipan. She has also performed as Pond and Flower in Peter and the Wolf ad as Chick in Carnival of the Animals.

Kara is thrilled and grateful to be cast as Clara this year - truly a dream for any dancer. She is looking forward to the challenge of her first lead role and pas de deux.
