Nutcracker Auditions

Ballet Brazos Nutcracker Ballet, a Brazos Valley Tradition since 2012, is proof that collaboration is a wonderful way to allow dancers, teachers, and audiences to experience the wonder of classical ballet. Dancers for our productions are cast by auditions open to the entire Brazos Valley community and by guest professional ballet dancers.

Auditions are in the form of a master class, led by experienced instructors. Auditions are adjudicated by two or more outside judges with professional ballet experience. Casting decisions are final, based on adjudication and Artistic Director decisions. An independent board member and observer will certify that casting is consistent with the outside judge scoring.

This year brings continued focus on building community within our cast and elevating our choreography to the next level, as our dancers auditioning continue to impress us with their dedication to their ballet technique. This will be another wonderful season, and we look forward to meeting our future dancers at auditions.
