Anne Burrough
Anne Burrough is a 1998 graduate of Texas A&M University and holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Education from Baylor University in 2000 before completing her Medical Degree at Wake Forest School of Medicine in 2007. She spent several years in primary and secondary education, eventually leaving the paid workforce to be a mom. While not a dancer herself, Anne grew up attending yearly performances of The Nutcracker with her family in Waco, and after attending every performance of the Ballet Brazos Nutcracker as an adult, she cannot imagine any other way to begin the holiday season.
Anne became more than a spectator of the Ballet Brazos Nutcracker when her eldest daughter first danced as a dream mouse in 2015. As her daughters have grown and taken on new roles within the production, so has her involvement within the organization increased from committee member for distribution and dancer safety to chair of the distribution committee to Board Director of Operations.
Anne and her husband Cory live in College Station and are the proud parents of four daughters who dance and one very patient son who does not.
