Ballet Brazos' 6th annual production of The Nutcracker features professional dancers, guest artists from Texas, and pre-professional performers from across the Brazos Valley. 
 
 

Joel Reynolds

Russian

Originally from the Bryan/College Station area, Joel began dancing at the age of 9 at his mother's dance studio. At the age of 15, he began training in Houston with the American Jazz Dance Company under the direction of Cece White and with the International Ballet of Houston under the direction of Richard and Jill D’alton. During this time, he also toured the country training closely along side the Tremaine Faculty Staff in their Performance Company. Joel has received numerous awards and scholarships in all genres of dance, and has attended Summer Intensives with the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) and New York City Dance Alliance. After several years of training in the Houston area, Joel accepted a Full Dance Scholarship to Belhaven University in Jackson, MS where he attended for one year before signing a contract with McDonald Selznick Associates and moving to Los Angeles to begin his dance career. Joel has worked with many choreographers and artists including an assistant to choreography for Willow Smith’s “Fireball” Music Video under the direction of Tina Landon and Jason Myhre. Some other credits include Victoria Justice’s ‘Best Friends Brother’ Music Video, Prince Charming from Tangled in the hit dance video game ‘Just Dance: Disney Party’, a featured dancer on ‘Real Life: The Musical’ on the Oprah Winfrey Network, “Bunheads” with Sutton Foster on ABC Family, and singing “Home for the Holidays” on a National Holiday Commercial for Verizon. Joel has recently been seen as a dancer at TEDx Vancouver and as a backup dancer and choreographer for Miss Texas 2016. Joel currently resides in College Station, TX where he works as a judge and master teacher for Crowd Pleasers Dance.
